-Here are a few tips to help you prepare your home for the upcoming Wild fire season.

-Maintain at least 100 feet around your home as lean, green and clean.

-Locate Firewood and all flammables at least 30 feet away from buildings.

-Always attend your burn pile and burn early in the day before afternoon winds come up.

-Stop by the office to find out more about alternatives to burning and ways to be fire safe.

-Be sure to maintain your defensible space. It is everyone's responsibility to be fire wise, it takes a community to be fire safe.

-Open burning of debris will no longer be permitted. No restrictions on power equipment yet. Please use caution when mowing and working in dry vegetation. Residents may notice smoke near our southern boarder, which is from a fire which is East of Happy Camp.
